Nyaber was born in 2011 – the same year South Sudan gained its independence.
In 2014, at age three, conflict forced Nyaber and her family to flee to the forest, where they remained for years.
In 2016, they returned home to find everything destroyed.
In 2017, famine was declared in her region.
