Relief efforts in the Maldives
CARE is a global confederation of 20 member organisations – Australia, Austria, Canada, Caucasus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Kingdom, and United States – working together to end poverty.
CARE’s work in the Maldives primarily focuses on locally-led initiatives, disaster recovery, and gender-inclusive community resilience. Working alongside local organisations, CARE and its confederation members have responded to urgent humanitarian crises, supported grassroots social development, and addressed the severe impacts of climate change.
