The Board of CARE Australia, one of Australia’s leading global humanitarian organisations, today announced the appointment of Ms Sally Moyle as its Chief Executive Officer. Ms Moyle succeeds Dr Julia Newton-Howes and will commence in the role on 31 October 2016.
Chair of CARE Australia, Mr Colin Galbraith, said “We are fortunate to have been able to attract someone of Sally’s stature and standing in the area of international development. Sally truly understands what it takes to alleviate poverty and promote positive and sustainable change in communities in need.”
Mr Galbraith continued, “Sally is one of Australia’s leading thinkers and influencers in international development policy and practice through her work with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. At CARE we believe that overcoming poverty is not an abstract goal, but a genuine possibility.
