In developing countries, women and girls walk for hours every day to collect food, water and firewood. The hours spent walking prevent them from spending time going to school or earning an income.

In 2013 over 4,500 Australian's took part in the Walk In Her Shoes challenge!

Visit the Walk In Her Shoes website to find out more, meet some of the 2013 participants, read the stories of the women and girls you could help, and register your interest for 2014!

Money raised by the Walk In Her Shoes challenge supports projects that provide community gardens and clean water close to homes, which help women and girls spend more time in school and earning an income.

You'll receive a pedometer to measure your steps, and your online fundraising page will help keep you connected with other walkers and the communities you're helping.
