A second edition of the popular digital magazine is now available for download to iPhone and iPad with proceeds going to CARE Australia.
Moving on from last year’s theme of ‘change’, the theme of this year’s magazine is ‘place’, a subject that is at the heart of what CARE does, working with the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in some of the remotest parts of the world. And as a global leader in women’s empowerment, CARE also works tirelessly to improve women’s place in society.
This year’s Open Field features contributions from some 30 female writers and artists including Irish-Canadian award-winning writer Emma Donoghue, American novelist and professor Claire Messud and Turkish writer Elif Shafak. It also features original works from American-born surrealist artist Nancy Fouts, actor and painter Ione Skye and Russian photographer Irina Popova.
Australian writers Anne Treasure, Sarah Darmody, Kelly Gardiner, Emily Ross and Patti Miller have also contributed to the collection of beautiful stories and artwork.
Download Open Field now for $4.49 and embark on a journey that will take you from Ankara to the Appalachians as writers and photographers share what this year’s theme of ‘place’ means to them.
