Leaving a gift to CARE in your will

The Australian public is very generous in its support of CARE Australia's vision to see a world of hope, tolerance and social justice where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security. CARE Australia has been part of a global movement to achieve this vision for 25 years and we look to the future with continued commitment.

We hope you are inspired to support our efforts by leaving a bequest in your Will. 
 

Making a bequest

We advise you to contact a solicitor, estate planner or trust company to assist with the drafting of your Will. They are able to provide advice on how best to represent your wishes for leaving gifts to family, friends and charities.

You may wish to advise CARE Australia that you are leaving a bequest gift or explore how a bequest gift can help CARE Australia achieve its vision.

Wording for your Will

If you do decide to leave a gift to CARE Australia in your Will, here are some suggestions for wording: 

I give devise and bequeath (ie. cash, shares, real estate etc),
Or
I devise to give and bequeath..........percent of the value of my entire estate,
Or
I devise and bequeath [the remaining balance], [.......... percentage of the remaining balance] of my estate (after all of the specified requests in my Will have been honoured) to CARE Australia at 218 Northbourne Avenue, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, for its general purposes and benefit absolutely, and I declare that the receipt of bequest by the Chief Executive or Company Secretary shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my Executor or trustee for the transfer or payment of any property or monies under this clause of my Will.
